Happy Friday everyone! I'm sooo happy it's the weekend because I get to go home and see my family! One thing I always make sure to bring me with me one whatever trip I go on is my skin care routine. I'm by no means an esthetician or anything of that sorts - this is just what I do. I've really struggled with my skin since around my 12th birthday. Once I hit puberty it was like BAM hello acne. I actually went on Accutane twice but it still didn't help. As I've gotten older, I've been using more and more natural products because they feel better on my skin. But, I still have a few drugstore favs that I won't part with. My current skin care routine is so extremely simple - perhaps too simple so if you have any recommends definitely comment below! I love trying new things for my skin and I feel like this is a really important subject because I know it's something that many people struggle with - including me.
Step 1: Cleanse.
I love this Aveeno Positively Radiant one because it melts my makeup and makes my skin feel extremely clean - plus it's at Target. I found this cleanser awhile ago and have been using it ever since. I used to use Alaffia face cleanser but I think they switched the formula because it doesn't feel the same on my skin anymore. That's when I found this one and haven't looked back!
2. Toner - this is something I've always struggled with because my skin tone is uneven so I could never find one that I loved that helped solve my unbalanced skin, but as of right now this has been my most successful attempt!
So I know a lot of people use Thayer's witch hazel, but I found this one by Humphrey's and although the smell is worse, I do think it's better than Thayer's. I've definitely seen more results with it - plus it's cheaper ($5.99 compared to $10.99).
3. Moisturize! This is probably my favorite step because I loooove lotion!
I swear Aveeno makes the best stuff. Most of their products are soy based as well which I think melts into my skin more! I personally use this lotion literally all over because I love how it works, and it's unscented! I have super sensitive skin so that really important for me!
There you have it! Nothing fancy at all because I think that sometimes if you get too complicated with your skincare routine it will end up doing more harm than good. Let me know what you use or any skin tips you have!
